Database Management Software….BUILDINGLINK

Training manuals: Resident Training Guide and Residence Maintenance Request Procedures.

Here at Lansdowne Woods we use a database management software called “BuildingLink.” It allows all the buildings the ability to streamline the operations, communication, and maintenance activities within each condominium building, as well as in the clubhouse and the gate security system. BuildingLink will help both management and residents with database management, communication, resident activities and much more.

Residents can access BuildingLink through their Internet browser at http://www.LWVACommunity.com. There is also an APP available for any smart device – phone, tablet or similar device. To login you will need a username and password. If you do not have one you can contract the Management office.

BuildingLink is designed for everyone’s needs…you may track your in-unit requests for maintenance or repairs, setup special gate instructions regarding visitors and deliveries. You can email the management office regarding vacation notifications, deliveries, contractors coming to do work in your unit, and key releases. Residents will also be able to view building and community activities and calendars.

It has an emergency broadcast function; which management will use to notify you of emergencies or power outages. These notifications will be by phone, email, and text message. Your building management office will use BuildingLink to send building notices and activity flyers to each unit that has an email address listed. Units that do not use email will still receive flyers under their door. There is also a Community Bulletin Board where you can list items to buy, sell, or borrow (please note these posts will have to be approved by management before they are posted for other residents to see.)

The first time you log into BuildingLink, you will be given a brief introductory tour of the site’s features and functions. The second page of the tour will present the Terms and Conditions of our site to which you must agree to before using BuildingLink. Since BuildingLink is primarily a communication tool, you will be agreeing that BuildingLink cannot be held responsible for any information that you choose to send or download through the site. Just like any other website, users must exercise careful judgment on the information they elect to send over the website. You must also agree that you will not use BuildingLink for any illegal purpose. As the introductory tour progresses, you will have the chance to change your username and password if you wish to do so.

BuildingLink allows to make sure all your information is correct and change it yourself if it is not. If you need a trainer to go through it with you just contact the management office and we can have one be in touch with you to setup a time.
